New York State Standardized Testing Report

We administer the applicable New York State Testing Program for elementary grades, which is required of all New York public schools but elective for private schools. We believe it is beneficial for the students to have some experience in test taking before they leave Mountain Road and that it can be a useful indicator for the teachers. We do not teach to the test, nor do we believe that the results are more important than daily indicators of classroom work. The areas tested are reading, writing (English Language Arts), mathematics, social studies and science.
